 About Us

Meetings are held the third Monday of the month except in July and December. Expectant moms are welcome to attend meetings as our guest for free until the birth of their multiples. Other guests are invited to attend 2 meetings before deciding to join and pay dues. Attending these meetings is a great way to learn about how our club works and become involved in events.

Full membership in MPOMC includes 10 issues of our local club's newsletter 'Twin Crier', membership in the Indiana Federation of Mothers of Multiples Club and the quarterly publication 'Twindiana', membership in the National Organization of Mother's of Twins Club and quarterly issues of 'Notebook.'  Yearly fee for membership is $25.00.  Dues are payable at the May meeting and are delinquent after the June meeting.

The South Bend Mothers of Twins Club was organized in April of 1967 and was founded by Mary Ann Freeze. The club title changed to South Bend-Mishawaka Mothers of Twins Club in June of 1987 to reflect the growing membership. We simplified the title in June of 1992 and became the Michiana Mothers of Twins Club. The club named changed once more in 1999 to the Michiana Parents of Multiples Club to include both Mothers and Fathers of multiples in membership as well as to appear more welcoming to parents of triplets and higher order multiples.

The club's official colors are gold and white and our club flower is the rose.

Our motto is "Where God Chooses the Members."

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, As we are drawn together by a unique bond as Parents of Multiples, we ask Your special blessings.

Keep us, Oh God, from pettiness.  May we put away all pretense, self-pity and prejudice.

May we never be hasty in judgment and always generous.

Let us take time for all the meaningful things, that we may grow serene and gentle.

Help us realize that it is the little things that create differences, that in the big things of life we are as one.

And Lord, let us never forget to be kind.

Amen.   (By Elaine Shafer)
